PESHAWAR, Jul 20 (APP):A formal oath-taking ceremony was held at the Governor House on Sunday, where 25 newly elected members of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly on reserved seats for women and non-Muslims took their oath.
The ceremony was administered by Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi, following a nomination order issued by the Chief Justice of the Peshawar High Court.
Governor Kundi congratulated the 21 women and 4 minority MPAs on assuming their constitutional responsibilities and expressed gratitude to the Chief Justice of the Peshawar High Court for the crucial nomination.
The oath was administered under Article 65 and Article 255(2) of the Constitution of Pakistan, in accordance with Rule 6 of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Procedure and Conduct of Business Rules, 1988.
The ceremony was attended by Federal Minister for SAFRON Engr. Amir Muqam, Opposition Leader in KP Assembly Dr. Ibadullah, and members from various opposition parties, marking a significant step towards completing the legislative composition of the provincial assembly.
