25 members elected to reserved seats for women and non-Muslims take oath

PESHAWAR, Jul 20 (APP):As many as 25 members elected to reserved seats for women and non-Muslims in KP Assembly took oath here Sunday.
The oath was administered by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi to the members elected on reserved seats here at Governor House Peshawar.
The Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa administered the oath to the newly elected provincial assembly members on reserved seats as per the nomination order issued by the Chief Justice of the Peshawar High Court.
The Governor congratulated the women and minority members of the assembly who took oath on the reserved seats.
He also thanked the Chief Justice of the Peshawar High Court for the important nominations made.
Federal Minister for SAFRON Engineer Amir Muqam, opposition leader in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Dr. Ibadullah, and other members from opposition parties attended the oath-taking ceremony.
It is worth mentioning that this oath was taken under Article 65 and Article 255(2) of the Constitution of Pakistan and in accordance with Rule 6 of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Procedure and Conduct of Business Rules,1988.
