KOHAT, July 20 (APP)::A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between University of Kohat (UoK) and Prime Institute of Health Sciences (PIHS), Islamabad on Sunday, aiming promoting mutual collaboration in fields of education, research and training.
The MOU was signed by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Syed Zafar Ilyas on behalf of University of Kohat and Chairman Abdul Wajid on behalf of Prime Institute. Other relevant officials were also present on occasion.
Under agreement, both institutions will provide opportunities for student and faculty exchange, internships, and clinical training.
Mutual research, teaching collaboration and academic activities will be promoted in the fields of nursing, physiotherapy, public health and allied health sciences.
In addition, both institutions will further improve their teaching and research capabilities through seminars, workshops, short-term courses, faculty training and service learning programs. The agreement also stipulates that two institutions will share their laboratories, infrastructure and teaching resources with each other wherever possible.
The MOU will be effective for an initial period of three years, however, both parties will be authorized to terminate agreement with prior notice.
