DERA ISMAIL KHAN , Jul 20 (APP):The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety and Halal Food Authority’s teams carried out inspection operations in various markets across Dera Ismail Khan on Sunday to ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety regulations.
During the inspection drive, several food outlets were penalized for poor cleanliness and violations of the Food Authority’s standards. The team issued fines on the spot to vendors found operating under unhygienic conditions.
In addition to the inspections, milk tankers were stopped at checkpoints and samples were collected for laboratory testing. In certain cases, penalties were imposed after the presence of water adulteration was confirmed in the milk samples.
According to the officials, such operations are part of the ongoing campaign to ensure the provision of safe and healthy food to the public. The Food Safety Team reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining strict oversight and taking legal action against violators.
