LAHORE, Jul 19 (APP):On the special directions of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, roads blocked due to landslides and flood-related damage have been promptly cleared and restored for traffic across the province.
Heavy machinery was immediately deployed to remove debris and open key routes disrupted by recent landslides. Restoration work was successfully completed on Pind Dadan Khan–Jhelum Road, Matta Khurd Road in the Kallar Kahar area, and Kallar Kahar–Chakwal Road, ensuring smooth traffic flow once again.
In addition, road surfaces damaged by torrential rains were quickly repaired. Cracks caused by the downpour were filled with soil to stabilize affected stretches. In Rawalpindi, the Crowley Dhok Bridge Road, which was temporarily closed due to rain-induced cracks, has now been reopened. Similarly, Dhok Parwana Road, which was washed out by floodwater, has also been repaired and made accessible.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif took direct oversight of the situation, receiving real-time updates and closely monitoring the progress of road clearance and rehabilitation efforts.
