LAHORE, Jul 19 (APP):Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif held a detailed meeting with Member National Assembly (MNA) Chaudhry Naseer Ahmed Abbas and President PML-N Japan Malik Noor Awan, here on Saturday.
Matters related to mutual interest, ongoing development projects, and the issues faced by overseas Pakistanis were discussed during the meeting.
Malik Noor Awan apprised the CM of the growing trend of investment by overseas Pakistanis, particularly in light of the improved law and order situation in Punjab. He also briefed her on the services and challenges faced by the Pakistani community residing in Japan.
CM Maryam Nawaz said that the PML-N believes in politics of service, not slogans. “We are utilizing all available resources to ensure equitable development and the welfare of every citizen,” she said.
She highlighted that under the Model Village Project, rural communities are being equipped with city-like, high-quality infrastructure and facilities. She further shared that 12,000 kilometers of roads have already been constructed or rehabilitated, with a target of 18,000 kilometers by December 2025. Additionally, more than 10 million patients have benefitted from mobile field hospitals and clinics operating at the community level.
The CM said that the role of overseas Pakistanis in the development of our beloved homeland is unforgettable, adding that overseas Pakistanis are a proud asset of the country, and the Punjab government is committed to resolving their issues while expanding investment opportunities that allow their hard work to contribute directly to national prosperity.
Both MNA Ch. Naseer Ahmed Abbas and Malik Noor Awan lauded the people-centric initiatives of the Punjab government. They praised the Chief Minister’s hands-on leadership and the tangible progress made in a short span of time.
MNA Ch. Naseer Abbas remarked that Under CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s dynamic leadership, Punjab is setting new benchmarks in public service.
Malik Noor Awan said that Overseas Pakistanis deeply appreciate the CM’s vision and tireless dedication, which has renewed their confidence in the province’s future. He also emphasized that the overseas community is optimistic that the Punjab government will continue to prioritize their concerns and facilitate greater engagement in national development.
