Kotri barrage inching towards low flood with 154,476 cusecs reading

HYDERABAD, Jul 19 (APP): As monsoon rains sweep across the country’s length and breadth, water level in the Indus River is also constantly rising at the Kotri barrage as 2 other barrages in Sindh have already attained low flood level.
The Sindh Irrigation Department recorded 154,476 cusecs flows in the barrage’s upstream in Jamshoro district on Saturday morning.
The barrage was discharging 112,351 cusecs in the downstream towards the Arabian sea.
The 4 canals flowing from Kotri barrage also witnessed rising flows with K B Feeder canal, aka Karachi canal, drawing 7,450 cusecs against its seasonal allocation of 6,140 cusecs.
The barrage released 19,525 in New Fuleli canal, 12,475 in Old Fuleli and 2,680 in Akram canal.
However, the allocations for the 3 canals were 10,520, 9,940 and 3,200 cusecs, respectively.
