MULTAN, Jul 18 (APP):A man died of severe electric shock that he reportedly suffered from an 11 KV power distribution line passing by the roof of his house in the city’s suburbs, rescuers said on Friday.
Rescue 1122 spokesman, quoting attendant of the deceased, said, Abid (35) s/o Ghulam Hussain, had moved to the roof top to sleep there. He suffered electric shock from the 11KV line passing by the roof near Bahawalpur Bypass Chowk. Rescuers said, the incident was reported to them around 8am, adding that they had responded minute(s) after receiving information. They said that the incident had occurred some 30-35 minutes before it was reported to Rescue 1122. Rescuers applied Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) procedure to bring him back to life but all went in vain.
Body of the deceased Abid was shifted to DHQ Hospital. Mumtazabad police also reached the spot. Police said, they are investigating.
