SUKKUR, Jul 18 (APP):Chairman Municipal Committee Khairpur Dr. Yar Muhammad Phulpoto on Friday has said that the Committee’s top priority was to provide basic facilities to the public and for this purpose, municipal officers, staff and ward councilors were working tirelessly.
While addressing a press conference at his office in City Hall, Dr. Phulpoto said that the Committee was focusing on providing clean drinking water to the citizens. He said that four water supply schemes were operational and 92 water bores had been drilled.
The chairman said that the Committee had planned to install 40 more water supply solarization systems in the next two months and 12 drainage disposal systems would be shifted to solar power. He also informed that the committee was prepared to handle the monsoon rains and has taken measures to ensure that the city’s drainage system was functioning properly.
Dr. Phulpoto said, the Committee has desilted the drains and is ready to handle any emergency situation that may arise during the monsoon season. He assured the public that the Committee was committed to providing them with basic facilities and will work tirelessly to ensure that the city’s infrastructure was functioning properly.
The chairman also appreciated the efforts of the municipal staff and councilors for their hard work and dedication to providing services to the public.
