KARACHI, Jul 18 (APP):The Consul General of United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Karachi Dr. Bakheet Ateeq Alremeithi met with Chairman District Council Sukkur Kumail Shah, Chairman District Sukkur and discussed the establishment of the UAE–Sukkur Corridor Economic Zone, an initiative designed to strengthen trade, investment, and economic collaboration between the UAE and Sukkur Division.
The proposed corridor will facilitate industrialists and businessmen from Sukkur Division by enabling them to expand their businesses, explore investment opportunities, and establish ventures in the UAE.
The project aims to position Sukkur as a key hub for bilateral trade and industrial development, enhancing the region’s role in fostering economic growth.
In addition to driving commercial and industrial opportunities, the corridor will also support infrastructure and hospitality services in the Sukkur region to accommodate visits by members of the UAE royal family during the annual hunting season, thereby strengthening cultural and economic ties between the two nations.
Both sides expressed their commitment to develop a roadmap for the UAE–Sukkur Corridor, ensuring the initiative delivers sustainable growth, increased trade, and lasting benefits for businesses and communities in both countries.
