HATTAR, Jul 18 (APP):The Hattar Police on Friday has successfully apprehended three suspects involved in a house robbery that took place in the Gulo Bandi area on the night of July 15. The suspects were caught along with the stolen cash amounting to Rs. 12,000, gold jewelry and weapons used during the crime, including a firearm and a knife.
The operation was carried out under the ongoing anti-crime crackdown ordered by District Police Officer (DPO) Haripur, Farhan Khan, as part of efforts to curb rising criminal activities across the district.
Following a complaint filed by the victim, a case was registered at Hattar Police Station under Section 392 of the Pakistan Penal Code. Acting promptly, SHO Hattar Police Station led a raid with his team and arrested three local residents: Azim, son of Ayub; Rashid, son of Mahboob; and Didar Ali, son of Habib-ur-Rehman.
According to police, all three are members of a robbery gang operating in the area. The recovery of stolen items and weapons marks a key success in the district’s ongoing law enforcement efforts.
Further investigation is underway, and more developments are expected as the police dig deeper into the suspects’ criminal background.
