ISLAMABAD, Jul 17 (APP):The production of Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs), vans and jeeps in the country has witnessed 74.60 percent increase during the fiscal year 2024-25 against the output of last fiscal year.
As many as 36,807 LCVs, vans and jeeps were manufactured during July-June (2024-25) as compared to the production of 21,080 LCVs, vans and jeeps during July- June (2023-24), according to official data by Pakistan Automobile manufacture Association (PAMA).
During the period under review, the production of trucks also rose from 2,204 units to 4,366 units, showing an increase of 98.09 percent while the production of buses increased by 89.97 percent, going up from 419 units to 796 units.
However, the production of farm tractors decreased by 35.56 percent from 45,821 units last year to 28,607 units during the period under review.
The production of cars increased to 111,402 units during this year from 79,594 units during last year while the production of motorcycles and three-wheelers also surged from 1,150,090 units to 1,514,718 units, showing an increase of 31.70 percent.
