Monsoon preparedness, Haripur ACs lead on-site inspections in Soka and Tarnawa

HARIPUR, Jul 17 (APP):In preparation for the expected monsoon rains, the district administration of Haripur Thursday has intensified on-ground inspections to ensure timely response to any potential emergency. Today, both Additional Assistant Commissioner (I) Haripur, Sheheryar Ahmed, and Assistant Commissioner Khanpur, Dr. Tazeen Zafar, conducted field visits to assess flood-prone areas and issue preventive directives.
Additional Assistant Commissioner Sheheryar Ahmed visited Railway Road Soka where he reviewed key locations vulnerable to flooding. He summoned personnel from Rescue 1122 and Civil Defence to the site and instructed them to remain on high alert. He emphasized the importance of swift action in case of any emergency and ensured that all necessary preparations were in place.
Meanwhile, Assistant Commissioner Khanpur, Dr. Tazeen Zafar, visited the Tarnawa Bridge and surrounding areas. She inspected the water accumulation at the site and directed the concerned staff to immediately begin drainage operations. She also instructed the local teams to stay deployed and ready to respond to any critical situation arising due to heavy rainfall.
Both officials reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to public safety and urged citizens to cooperate with authorities during the monsoon season. Preventive measures are being taken to mitigate flood risks and ensure the safety of residents across the district.
