ISLAMABAD, Jul 16 (APP):Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N)’s Parliamentary Secretary for Human Rights, MNA Saba Sadiq, on Wednesday pledged stronger cooperation between the government and civil society to protect human rights in Pakistan.
In a key meeting with civil society representatives, including Mr. Babar, Ms. Aroosa, and Ms. Abida, she said that joint efforts were essential to tackle gender-based violence and child abuse. She praised the work of the NGO Rozan and directed the Ministry’s Helpline 1099 to focus on offering free legal help and referral services through a one-window system for people in need.
Mr. Babar, Executive Director of NGO Rozan, thanked the Ministry of Human Rights for its commitment and assured full support from civil society for future initiatives.
Parliamentary Secretary for Ministry of Human Rights MNA Saba Sadiq repeated her resolve to end all forms of violence and rights violations, signalling stronger partnerships ahead to build a fairer society in Pakistan.
