MULTAN, Jul 16 (APP):In a continued effort to combat food adulteration, the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) carried out a major operation against the sale of substandard and adulterated milk in Multan.
A team raided a milk collection center located at Babar Chowk, Kot Rabnawaz and
discarded 1,000 liters of substandard milk on the spot.
The operation was led by Director Operations Zubair Ahmad Ijaz and Additional Director Operations Amir Iftikhar.
During the raid, food safety teams conducted on-site testing, revealing a significant deficiency in
fat and nutritional content in the milk being collected for distribution.
A case was registered against the owners of the collection center under relevant food safety laws.
DG PFA Muhammad Asim Javed said that those selling adulterated milk were under strict surveillance.
He advised citizens to check their household milk tested free of cost.
