DC Abbottabad directs for comprehensive reforms in schools to ensure quality education and basic facilities

ABBOTTABAD, Jul 16 (APP):Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad  Sanaullah Khan Wednesday while chairing a meeting under the public agenda of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, discussed key issues regarding improvements in the education system, school performance, teacher and student attendance, cleanliness, provision of basic facilities, and problem-solving.
Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad, emphasized that the provision of quality education and basic facilities in schools is the top priority of the district administration, and all necessary steps will be taken to achieve this goal.
He directed the Education Department and the Education Monitoring Authority to ensure effective monitoring and implementation across all schools in the district. “It must be ensured that students are provided with better educational opportunities, regular teacher attendance, and a conducive learning environment,” the DC stated.
The meeting of the District Steering Committee of the Education Department was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad. District Monitoring Officer (DMO) Abbottabad, Abbas Ali Bukhari, presented a detailed briefing on the implementation of the minutes and performance of the previous steering committee meeting on behalf of the Education Monitoring Authority.
Sanaullah Khan issued directives to the Education Department regarding the provision of missing facilities in schools. He instructed the District Education Officers (Male and Female) to ensure improvements in educational standards and the provision of essential services in schools.
He stressed the adoption and implementation of modern teaching methods in line with current educational needs. He also directed authorities to address issues related to the appointment of administrative staff, provision of clean drinking water and electricity, school building repairs, cleanliness of washrooms, and other infrastructure-related concerns.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner General Gohar Ali, DMO Abbas Ali Bukhari, DEO Male, DEO Female, District Accounts Officer, representatives of the C&W Department, and other officials from the Education Department.
