GUJRAT, Jul 14 (APP):On the directives of Deputy Commissioner Gujrat Naveed Ahmed, a snap vehicle checking drive was carried out at various locations under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Bilal Zubair.
The operation aimed to promote road safety, ensure enforcement of traffic regulations, and take action against unfit and unregistered vehicles.
During the drive, 84 vehicles were inspected. A total of 14 challans were issued for traffic violations, while six vehicles were impounded on the spot. Fines amounting to Rs28,000 were also collected from the violators. AC Bilal Zubair said that no leniency would be shown to those flouting traffic rules. He said that strict legal action would continue against vehicles operating without fitness certificates, route permits, or valid driving licenses.
He said such enforcement actions would be carried out regularly to safeguard public lives and ensure the smooth flow of traffic.
