ISLAMABAD, Jul 14 (APP): The Federal Flood Commission (FFC) has said that River Indus is flowing in medium flood at Taunsa whereas it is in low flood in Guddu-Sukkur reach with rising trend.
According to the daily FFC report on Monday, other major rivers of Indus River System (Jhelum Chenab. Ravi & Sutlt:j) are currently running normal. The combined live Storage of ‘Tarbela. Chashma & Mangla reservoirs stands at 7.970 million acre feet.
The Flood Forecasting Division (FFD) predicted yesterday trough of Westerly ‘Wave over northern Afghanistan now lies over northeastern Afghanistan and adjoining areas of Pakistan. Monsoon currents originating from the Arabian Sea are steadily advancing into the central regions of the country and are expected to intensify further, expanding their influence across much of the national territory in the: corning clays.

Scattered thunderstorm/rain with isolated heavy falls is likely to occur over Islamabad, Punjab (Rawalpindi and Sargodlrn Divisions), Khyber Paktunkhwa (Peshawar, Kohat, B,rnnu &D.I. Khan), northern Sindh and eastern Baluchistan including the upper catchments of all the major rivers during the during the said period.
