RAWALPINDI, Jul 14 (APP): Research Coordinator of British Council Kiran Rahim on Monday visited the Misaq Centre, and Tahafuz centers at Cantt and New Town police stations.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Admin Shahida Yasmin gave her a briefing about the Misaq centres, while respective sub-divisional police officers informed her about the working procedures of Tahafuz centres.
DSP Shahida said,” The protection of minority rights is our top priority.” She informed the Research Coordinator about the facilities provided at Misaq centres.
The establishment of Misaq centres was part of the steps taken by the government to resolve the problems of minority community immediately, she added.
The Research Coordinator, while appreciating their effectiveness, expressed satisfaction over the facilities being provided to the minority communities at both the Misaq and Tahafuz centres.
