DERA GHAZI KHAN, Jul 11 (APP):Saddar Police arrested two suspects for brutally injuring a cow by severing its leg after it entered their fields, officials confirmed on Thursday.
According to police sources, the Saddar Police Station acted swiftly on a tip-off and apprehended the accused involved in cutting the leg of the cow for trespassing into their farmland. A case has been registered against the suspects, and further legal proceedings are underway.
District Police Officer (DPO) Dera Ghazi Khan, Syed Ali, strongly condemned the inhumane act, stating that inflicting violence or causing harm to animals is a serious crime and morally unacceptable. He added that such acts will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
“Anyone found guilty of cruelty to animals will face strict legal consequences,” DPO Syed Ali affirmed. He further said that Dera Ghazi Khan Police are committed to taking immediate action against all forms of cruelty and ensuring the protection of animals.
