LAHORE, Jul 10 (APP):The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) is actively assisting the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) in identifying and managing drainage problems during ongoing rains in the province.
According to PSCA spokesperson on Thursday, using virtual patrols and surveillance cameras, PSCA was providing WASA with real-time updates on waterlogging and sewage blockages in various areas. The spokesperson said special monitoring had been intensified in low-lying areas to ensure timely drainage. The Safe Cities cameras continuously capture images of standing water and sewer issues, which were shared with WASA for prompt action.
WASA officials were working round the clock alongside PSCA teams to coordinate drainage clearance efforts, spokesperson added and urged citizens to avoid unnecessary travel during rainfall and to call emergency services at 15 if needed.
