LAHORE, Jul 10 (APP): The Millat Park police arrested a man on Thursday for allegedly selling kite-flying materials during a raid.
According to a police spokesperson, the suspect identified as Waseem, was apprehended in the National Bank Colony area following a tip-off. Police recovered 12 spools of metallic string and dozens of kites from his possession. A case has been registered against him under the Punjab Prohibition of Kite Flying Act.
Superintendent of Police, Iqbal Town Division, Dr. Muhammad Umar, praised the police team’s efforts and reiterated the department’s zero-tolerance policy toward kite flying and the sale of related materials.
“We are taking strict action to prevent this dangerous activity, which poses serious threats to public safety,” Dr. Umar said.
