ABBOTTABAD, Jul 08 (APP):Former Member of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Maliha Ali Asghar, has demanded strict legislation to prevent brutal incidents like the murder of young Iqra on July 7.
She stated that those involved in such heinous crimes must be made an example of, and families promoting or harboring such social evils should face social boycott to deter future occurrences.
Addressing a press conference at the Abbottabad Press Club, Maliha Ali Asghar said the Speaker of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly has taken notice of the tragic incident and sought a report from the DIG.
Maliha emphasized that parents who neglect their responsibilities and fail to raise their children properly should also be held accountable.
She said that as a mother, she has decided to play an active role in ensuring justice for the victim. She called for open discussions on such societal issues and urged the community to expose and socially boycott individuals involved in such crimes.
She assured full support and legal backing to the victim’s family, vowing to stand by them until justice is served.
