9 mega tourism projects for KP approved by CM KP

PESHAWAR, Jul 08 (APP):Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Ali Amin Gandapur and Advisor for Tourism & Archeology Zahid Khan Shinwari has approved key projects for heritage preservation and tourism Promotion Under World Bank’s KITE Program.
These projects were approved n a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Ali Amin Gandapur and Advisor for Tourism & Archeology Zahid Khan Shinwari.
These projects will be executed under the World Bank’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Integrated Tourism Project (KITE) Program.
Tourism Department spokesman told APP that these projects include upgradation of various museums in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa costing PKR 295 million, Development and Preservation of Babu Dheri, District Swabi of PKR 45 million, restoration and conservation of Dilip Kumar and Raj Kapoor’s Historic Buildings in Peshawar with allocation of  PKR 33.8 million and Beautification and Renovation of Rani Ghat, District Buner costing PKR 40 million.
The other approved projects are Provision of Modern Facilities at Takht-e-Bhai Archaeological Site, District Mardan  costing PKR 30 million, Upgradation of Security and Safety Measures at Key Archaeological Sites in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa of costing PKR 220.59 million, Development of Gali Bagh, Mansehra of costing PKR 35 million and Improvement of Koh-e-Suleman Tourist Site, Dera Ismail Khan Costing PKR 155 million besides Restoration of Sheikh Badin Site, Dera Ismail Khan Costing PKR 190 million.
The primary goal of these projects is to safeguard the province’s historical and cultural heritage while promoting heritage tourism. This initiative will not only boost local tourism but also create new employment opportunities.
Chief Minister Sardar Ali Amin Gandapur stated the cultural heritage of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa holds significance not only for Pakistan but for the entire world. Our government’s top priority is to preserve this heritage and ensure economic growth through tourism.
Advisor for Tourism Zahid Khan Shinwari remarked that with the support of the World Bank, these projects will revolutionize the tourism sector in the province. Our aim is to make Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s beautiful cultural landmarks a focal point for tourists worldwide.
Work on these projects will commence shortly to provide better facilities for both domestic and international tourists.
