RAWALPINDI, Jul 08 (APP):Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Malik Mansoor Afsar has admired Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for inaugurating the Nawaz Sharif Flyover and GPO Chowk Underpass, calling them a “valuable gift” for the people of Rawalpindi.
The newly constructed infrastructure projects are set to improve traffic flow and provide convenience not only to local residents but also to commuters from other cities.
Expressing his gratitude during Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s visit to Rawalpindi on Tuesday for the inauguration of development projects, MPA Malik Mansoor highlighted the Punjab government’s commitment to public welfare. He noted that under the leadership of Maryam Nawaz, ongoing development initiatives in Punjab, including road construction and infrastructure upgrades, are creating job opportunities and enhancing connectivity.
MPA Malik Mansoor also commended the exceptional arrangements made for Muharram processions and gatherings in Rawalpindi, as directed by the Chief Minister. He stated that the robust security and cleanliness measures have set a new standard for public service. He extended his appreciation to provincial ministers, district administration, police, rescue services, health department, sanitation staff, and other officials for their dedicated efforts in ensuring the success of these arrangements.
The Nawaz Sharif Flyover and GPO Chowk Underpass are expected to significantly ease traffic congestion, benefiting both residents and visitors to Rawalpindi.
