MULTAN, Jul 08 (APP):A robber was killed during an alleged police encounter in the MR-17 Tile Wala area of Shujabad late Monday night.
According to a spokesperson, a team of CCD circle Shujabad were on routine patrol when noticed three unidentified motorcyclist.
Police stopped them but instead of complying, the suspects opened discriminate firing on them.
Police caught one of the suspects dead at the scene, possibly killed by the firing of his own accomplices.
He was identified as Muhammad Nadeem r/o Qasba Maral while two suspects managed to escape.
The deceased was involved in several cases of burglary, theft and other street crimes.
The official further stated that ensuring the safety of lives and property remains the top priority of law enforcement agencies.
