ICT Police nabbed two dacoits Involved in heinous crimes

ISLAMABAD, Jul 07 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police’s Khanna Police Station team  arrested two suspects allegedly involved in heinous crimes.
An official told APP that the Khanna police team apprehended the suspects identified as Umar Mubarak and Shiraz who were accused of abducting citizens at gunpoint, looting them.
He said the suspects were traced and apprehended through human intelligence and surveillance efforts carried out by the Khanna police team.
He said both suspects were previously involved in 28 cases of theft and robbery registered in Rawalpindi, and five cases at Khanna Police Station, making them habitual offenders.
He said fresh First Information Reports (FIRs) have been registered at Khanna and Koral police stations under charges of kidnapping, robbery.
He said police recovered snatched mobile phones, cash, weapons with ammunition, and the motorcycle used in the crimes.
He said all legal formalities are being fulfilled to ensure the culprits face exemplary punishment.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Muhammad Jawad Tariq said that large-scale operations are underway against organized and active criminal gangs operating across the federal capital.
