MULTAN, Jul 07 (APP):The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) carried out a special inspection campaign across the Multan division.
The campaign focused on langar distribution points, sabeel and cooking centers set up during Muharram.
According to Director General Punjab Food Authority Muhammad Asim Javed, a total of 469 locations were inspected. The inspections were conducted to assess food hygiene, cleanliness, and compliance with safety standards.
During the operation 43 cooking centers were fined a total of Rs 403,000 for violations related to substandard or unsafe food practices while 22 kilograms of unfit food items were
discarded on the spot.
As many as 98 food business operators were issued warning notices and 311 locations received guidance and instructions to improve hygiene and quality standards.
