BUREWALA, Jul 04 (APP):Police have arrested a fake additional sessions judge along with his armed gunman after suspicion arose during a visit to the DSP Office in Burewala. The accused was found in possession of modern weapons and a vehicle bearing an official government number-plate.
The accused, later identified as Agha Muhammad Usman, a resident of Sargodha, arrived at the DSP Office claiming to be an additional sessions judge from Islamabad. He allegedly threatened the office staff while posing as a senior judicial officer.
Staff members questioned him and demanded verification. A search of his gunman, identified as Muhammad Sher of 165/9-L, led to the recovery of a modern rifle, while a pistol was seized from the fake judge’s pocket.
During interrogation in front of DSP Rana Muhammad Imran Tipu, the suspect failed to prove his identity and confessed to impersonation. The police seized the weapons and the government number-plate vehicle being used in the fraud.
The DSP handed both accused over to Model Town Police Station, where a case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
