SARGODHA, Jul 03 (APP):Special Assistant to the Chief Minister (SACM) for Political Affairs Zeeshan Ashiq Malik Thursday visited Khushab to review security and administrative measures for Muharram-ul-Haram.
The visit was made on the special instructions of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif. Senator Dr Ghous Ahmed Niazi, MNA Malik Shakir Bashir Awan, Commissioner Sargodha Jahanzeb Awan and other officer were present.
During the visit, the SACM was given a detailed briefing on the arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram, which include foolproof security arrangements on all procession routes, monitored through CCTV cameras, walk-through gates, metal detectors and modern monitoring systems. Ambulances, fire brigades, and rescue teams have been deployed at various locations, while the health department has set up first aid camps.
Zeeshan Ashiq Malik directed the officers concerned to give top priority to public convenience during Muharram and to be alert to deal with any possible emergency. He visited sabils, security points, and control rooms at various locations, expressing satisfaction with the arrangements.
He was informed that on the instructions of the Chief Minister of Punjab, sabils have been set up at all central locations, providing cold water, syrup, and first aid facilities to mourners. The sanitation staff is working to keep the procession routes clean and tidy.
Zeeshan Ashiq Malik said that under the leadership of the Chief Minister of Punjab, practical steps are being taken to maintain law and order, religious harmony, and provide civic facilities across the province, adding that instructions have been issued to the administration in all districts in this regard.
