PESHAWAR, Jul 03 (APP):Continuous rainfall and glaciers melting in Haripur district and upper regions have significantly increased water inflow into Tarbela Dam.
According to the dam authorities on Thursday, the dam is currently receiving 273,400 cusecs of water, while 148,200 cusecs are being discharged.
Authorities further informed that the water level at Tarbela Dam has reached 1515.10 feet, nearing its full capacity of 1550 feet.
Meanwhile, 16 out of the 17 power generation units at the dam are operational, with only one unit currently shut down.
Authorities are closely monitoring the situation as the dam approaches its maximum capacity.
