LAHORE, Jul 02 (APP):Vice President Shahid Nazir Chaudhry has assumed the charge of Acting President of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry as President Mian Abuzar Shad and Senior Vice President Engineer Khalid Usman attend to important personal commitments, LCCI spokesman confirmed to media here on Wednesday.
Shahid Nazir Chaudhry, known for his dedicated service and practical approach to resolving business issues, brings with him a strong background in advocacy for trader rights and economic reform. He is taking charge during a critical period when the business community is facing significant challenges.
Shahid Nazir Chaudhry said that the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry does not seek mere assurances or sweet talk from policymakers, but solid action. “We will continue to raise our voice forcefully and constructively to ensure that the unjust measures affecting the business community are rolled back, and pro-growth policies are introduced,” he added.
Former LCCI Senior Vice President Ali Hussam Asghar and business community has congratulated Shahid Nazir Chaudhry for being LCCI Acting President.
As Acting President, Shahid Nazir Chaudhry would continue LCCI’s robust policy engagements with the government, including issues of high taxation, energy costs, regulatory hurdles and the need for reforms to support domestic industry and SMEs. His prior involvement in important Chamber initiatives has earned him wide respect within the business circle, and the Executive Committee has extended its full support to him in this interim capacity.
