Tashkand-Islamabad need to sign agreement to promote tourism:Ambassador

ISLAMABAD, Jun 10 (APP):People of Uzbekistan wanted to visit the historical, religious and tourist places in Pakistan and for that, there was need to have agreement between Tashkand and Islamabad.
“We want to have agreement between Tashkand and Islamabad to achieve this objective,” Uzbek Ambassador to Pakistan, Furqat Siddiqov said while talking to a news channel.
Pakistan and Uzbekistan enjoyed friendly relations and both the countries had similar history, the ambassador said.
“We want to promote religious tourism between the two countries, “ he said and added a large number of Uzbek
people wanted to visit Badshahi Mosque in Lahore, he added.
Inviting Pakistanis to visit his country, Siddiqov said Uzbekistan was the land of Tirmizi, Naqashbandi, Imam Bukhari, and other prominent religious scholars, while there were historical places including Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khewa, he added.
