LAHORE, Jun 28 (APP):A badge-pinning ceremony was held at the Central Police Office (CPO) on Saturday to honour Punjab Police officers recently promoted to the senior ranks of Additional Inspector General (Addl IG) and Deputy Inspector General (DIG).
Punjab Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman attended the event as the chief guest, while Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Dr Usman Anwar was also present.
The chief secretary and IGP Punjab pinned badges on the newly promoted officers and congratulated them on their career advancement. The presence of the officers’ families added further significance to the occasion, making it both proud and memorable.
Among those promoted to Grade 21 as Additional IGs are Tariq Rustam Chauhan, Khurram Shakoor, Shehzada Sultan, Flight Lieutenant (retd) Waseem Ahmad Khan, Syed Khurram Ali, and Humayun Bashir Tarar. Officers promoted to Grade 20 as DIGs include Asad Sarfraz Khan, Captain (retd) Muhammad Ali Zia, Muhammad Umar Farooq Salamat, Sahibzada Bilal Umar, Mustafa Hameed Malik, Muhammad Fawaduddin Riaz Qureshi, and Muhammad Ali Nekokara.
