HYDERABAD, Jun 28 (APP):On the special directives of Acting President Ahmed Idrees Chohan, a high-level delegation of the Hyderabad Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industry (HCSTSI), led by Vice President Shan Sehgal, actively participated in the “Pakistan Chemical Expo 2025 held at Karachi Expo Centre”.
The delegation visited various stalls at the expo and held detailed meetings with representatives of leading national and international companies from the chemical, packaging, waste management, energy and allied industrial sectors. These industry leaders expressed their keen interest in collaborating with HCSTSI and assured their intention to visit Hyderabad and engage with Chamber in the near future.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice President Shan Sehgal stated that international-standard events like the Pakistan Chemical Expo play a vital role in promoting industrial growth, fostering research and development, facilitating technology transfer and creating valuable business linkages.
He emphasized that Hyderabad was the second-largest commercial hub of Sindh, home to thousands of active business units across sectors such as chemicals, pharmaceuticals, plastics, cold beverages, food processing and construction. In light of this, such exhibitions and expos are urgently needed in Hyderabad to support local industrial advancement.
Shan Sehgal strongly advocated for the organization of dedicated B2B exhibitions and roadshows in Hyderabad, specifically for the chemical and allied industries. He highlighted that such initiatives would provide local manufacturers and traders with direct access to new business opportunities and innovative technologies.
The Chamber delegation briefed participating companies about the performance, facilities, and investment potential in Hyderabad. They formally invited them to expand their networks and establish operations in the city.
The leadership of the Chamber lauded the Pakistan Chemical Manufacturers Association (PCMA) for organizing a highly successful and purposeful event. They especially appreciated the efforts of PCMA Chairman Haroon Ali Khan, FPCCI President Atif Ikram Shaikh, and all other organizers for providing a strong platform for meaningful industrial and commercial interaction.
In conclusion, Vice President Shan Sehgal urged the Government of Sindh and the Federal Ministry of Industries & Production to ensure the organization of such large-scale industrial expos in Hyderabad, enabling the business community from interior Sindh to be better integrated into the national economic framework.
The delegation also included Convener of Chamber’s Chemical & Dyes Committee Samar Jafri and Muhammad Tahir from the Chemical Association.
