CHINIOT, Jun 28 (APP):Punjab Food Authority (PFA) is checking milk loaded trucks on a daily basis by setting up checkpoints at the entrance and exit points of the city to check the quality of milk.
Under the leadership of Deputy Director Operations Punjab Food Authority Dr. Muhammad Qasim Raza, more than 4,000 liters of milk in 42 milk trucks were checked with a modern lactoscan machine and a fine of Rs 10,000 was imposed for poor quality of milk and 50 liters of adulterated milk was destroyed.
During the checking of milk shops, a fine of Rs 29,000 was imposed due to poor quality of milk. In addition, an inspection campaign of culinary centers is also underway during the Ashra of Muharram, under which a fine of Rs 8,000 was also imposed for poor cleaning of culinary centers and poor freezer storage arrangements.
During the inspection, a fine of Rs 7,000 was imposed and 3 kg of expired products were destroyed when expired products were recovered from a grocery store.
