Registration starts for Hajj 2026, to continue till July 9

LAHORE, Jun 27 (APP): A mandatory registration of pilgrims for Hajj 2026 has been started, which will continue till July 9, the Ministry of Religious Affairs local chapter sources told APP on Friday.
No fee will have to be paid for Hajj registration. Registration of Hajj pilgrims is mandatory for both government and private schemes, while registration will also be mandatory for Pakistanis living abroad.
Only those applicants who register will be considered eligible for Hajj 2026, they said. Hajj registration can be done from 15 approved banks across the country.
After Hajj registration, pilgrims will be able to choose a government or private Hajj scheme.
Likewise, registration will also be mandatory for pilgrims who have left the private scheme this year. The expenses and other terms and conditions of Hajj 2026 will be issued separately according to the Hajj policy.
Furthermore, Hajj registration is being carried out on the instructions of the Saudi Arabian government. The Saudi Arabian government will be informed of the Hajj registration data. Based on the registration, the Saudi Arabian government will set the Hajj quota.
It may be remembered that this year Pakistan was allocated a total quota of 179,210 pilgrims for Hajj , with 89,605 spots each for the government and private schemes.
