ISLAMABAD, June 7 (APP):Caretaker Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control, Muhammad Azam Khan
on Thursday directed that fool-proof security arrangement should be made at
all polling stations in Capital during forthcoming election.
The minister, who visited Chief Commissioner Office here,
was informed that 788 polling stations have been established in Islamabad.
Of the total, 356 polling station have been have set-up
for men, 345 for women while 87 mixed polling stations would
be established, Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Dr Aftab Akbar
Durrani briefed the Minister regarding election arrangements
made in the capital.
The minister chaired a meeting which was also attended
by Secretary Interior, Inspector General of Police Islamabad and
Officers of district administration.
He was also briefed by IG Islamabad about security measures
being adopted in connection with election.
