LAHORE, Jun 26 (APP):The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) and the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) have adopted a joint strategy to ensure effective drainage during the pre-monsoon season in the city.
According to a PSCA spokesperson, surveillance through Safe City cameras is underway to monitor drainage conditions across the city following rainfall.
Special monitoring is being conducted in low-lying areas to ensure timely removal of rainwater. The PSCA is providing WASA with real-time updates on water accumulation and sewage issues through its integrated camera network. Images of waterlogged areas captured by the Safe City system are being relayed to WASA for immediate response, the spokesperson said.
Additionally, WASA representatives are deployed at the PSCA headquarters and are performing duty around the clock to coordinate field efforts, the spokesperson added.
Citizens have been advised to exercise caution during rain and to report emergencies by
