PESHAWAR, Jun 6 (APP):Justice (Rtd) Dost Muhammad Khan took oath as caretaker Chief Minister (CM) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Wednesday.
Governor KP, Engr Zafar Iqbal Jhagra administered the oath to Dost Muhammad Khan during an impressive ceremony held here at the Governor House.
Former Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, Advocate General KP and senior lawyers besides officials attended the oath taking ceremony.
Khan will serve as the interim Chief Minister till the new government takes charge following the
general election scheduled to be held on July 25.
Talking to media men, Khan said he would try to complete the mission in accordance to the constitution and fulfill trust reposed in him by the Election Commission of Pakistan.
He said holding of free, fair and transparent election on time was his top most priority.
Khan vowed to provide maximum relief to the province’s people during the short tenure.
