Robbers of Sikandar Town heist busted, stolen gold recovered

PESHAWAR, Jun 23 (APP):A notorious gang involved in a high-profile robbery in Sikandar Town area of Paharipura, here, has been apprehended by police.
According to SP Faqirabad on Monday, the gang was responsible for a robbery that took place on April 19 at the residence of a senior political figure.
The gang stole 27 tolas of gold from the house of PML-N leader Khadim Ali Yusufzai. His son is an employee in the office of the Deputy Chairman Senate. The robbery was committed during the absence of the family.
During the investigation, the police recovered not only the stolen gold but also 7.5 million rupees, which the gang had received after selling the gold.
One of the main suspects, identified as Shah Room, is a resident of Swat. SP Faqirabad revealed that the accused used to check for locked houses and break in afterward.
Peshawar police have termed the operation a major success and confirmed that the entire gang involved in the Sikandar Town robbery has been taken into custody and valuable stolen property has been fully recovered.
