NATHIAGALI, Jun 22 (APP): At least one child was died and 20 other people were injured in Galiyat region in two separate road accidents involving tourist vehicles on Sunday.
In the first incident, a van carrying tourists from Nowshera plunged into a deep ravine near Khaira Gali.
Rescue 1122 teams swiftly responded to the emergency call and reached the site to carry out rescue operations.
A four-year-old girl, Mairaal, lost her life on the spot, while five others sustained injuries. The injured were identified as 13-year-old Hajra, 24-year-old Khush Bahas, and two elderly women, all hailing from Nowshera. The victims received immediate medical assistance and were shifted to Murree Hospital, along with the body of the deceased child.
Shortly after, a second accident was reported near Gujar Hotel, where a coaster carrying tourists from Railway Station Haripur met with a mishap. Rescue 1122 dispatched multiple medical teams to the scene.
Fifteen passengers, mostly women and children, were injured in the crash. The injured were identified as Seema (30), Urooj (19), Laiba (23), Saba (23), Haleezah (20), Mahnor (15), Hareem (18), Ayesha (6), and two children, Azaan and Saem, among others. The injured were administered first aid on-site and later transported to DHQ Hospital for further treatment.
