Rs 10,000 distributed among more than 1000 RWMC workers for successful Eid Ul Azha cleanliness drive

RAWALPINDI, Jun 21 (APP): Special Secretary for Local Government, Punjab, Asiya Gul, on Saturday said that sanitary workers were the heroes of the successful Eid ul Azha cleanliness operations, who performed their duties diligently.
Speaking at the honorarium cheque distribution ceremony as the Chief Guest, she said that the honorarium was being given in recognition of their best services on Eid days, at the instruction of the Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
She expressed gratitude to the entire staff of RWMC for their exceptional performance during the Eid holidays and distributed checks worth Rs. 10,000 each among more than 1,000 sanitation workers of Tehsil Rawalpindi.
Presiding over the event, MNA Tahira Aurangzeb said that the government was committed to resolving sanitary workers’ issues and providing permanent employment wherever possible.
MNA Raja Qamar-ul-Islam added that these checks were not merely financial support, but an expression of respect and honour for the workers.
Deputy Commissioner Hassan Waqar Cheema said that workers on the front lines of cleanliness were the guarantors of the city’s beauty and health.
The district administration will continue playing every possible role in their welfare, he added.
CEO RWMC Rana Sajid Safdar, former Mayor Sardar Naseem, President Municipal Labour Union Raja Haroon, and others were present.
