PESHAWAR, Jun 04 (APP):Parliamentary committee has failed to
finalize the name of Caretaker Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to a letter issued from the officer of Speaker KP
Assembly Asad Qaiser on Monday that the Parliamentary committee consists of government
and opposition members did not finalize the name of Caretaker CM.
The letter said that the committee did not agree on any
person and shown its inability for finalization of a name of any person from
the referred nominees.
In case of inability of the committee to decide the matter
within three days, the names of the nominees will be referred to Election
Commission of Pakistan for final decision within two days.
The Election Commission of Pakistan will now make a decision
on the Caretaker Chief Minister as the parliamentary committee constituted for
the purpose could not finalized a name for the post.
The two nominees recommended each by former Chief Minister of
KP and leader of the dissolved opposition, included bureaucrats Himayatullah
Khan and Ejaz Ahmed Qureshi, businessperson Manzoor Khan Afridi, Justice (retd)
Dost Muhammad.
