ISLAMABAD, Jun 19 (APP):Defense Minister Khawaja Asif hailed the meeting between Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and US President as a significant diplomatic success.
Talking to reporters outside the Parliament House on Thursday, he highlighted that this was the first time an Army Chief had been invited for lunch, underscoring the importance of the meeting.
Asif emphasized that the discussions on international and regional issues showcased Pakistan’s potential in resolving key problems, particularly in the context of Pak-India tensions.
He attributed the success to the hybrid governance model, the revival of the economy, the defeat of India, and improvement in relations with the United States, all these revolutionary changes were possible with the cooperation of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir.
The minister said that Iran is our brotherly Islamic country and other Islamic countries must stand with their Iranian brothers at this difficult times.
