ISLAMABAD, Jun 19 (APP):The 100-Index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed a bearish trend on Thursday losing 463.34 points, a negative change of 0.38 percent, closing at 120,002.59 points as compared to 120,465.93 points on the last trading day.
A total of 604,536,506 shares were traded during the day as compared to 707,300,056 shares the previous trading day, whereas the price of shares stood at Rs 20.442 billion against Rs 21.273 billion on the last trading day.
As many as 459 companies transacted their shares in the stock market, 155 of them recorded gains and 269 sustained losses, whereas the share price of 35 companies remained unchanged.
The three top trading companies were WorldCall Telecom with 64,601,455 shares at Rs 1.49 per share, Sui South Gas with 35,626,055 shares at Rs 43.28 per share and Prud Mod. 1st with 30,294,099 shares at Rs 4.31 per share.
Unilever Pakistan Foods Limited witnessed a maximum increase of Rs 140.64 per share closing at Rs23,129.64 whereas runner-up was Macter International Limited with Rs51.39 rise in its share price to close at Rs565.29.
PIA Holding Company LimitedB witnessed a maximum decrease of Rs 1,377.01 per share price, closing at Rs 12,393.14, whereas the runner-up Hoechst Pakistan Limited with Rs 99.24 decline in its per share price to Rs 3,150.76.
