PM aide terms Field Marshal’s meeting with Donald Trump positive sign for region

ISLAMABAD, Jun 18 (APP): The coordinator to the Prime Minister (PM) on Information for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Affairs, Ikhtiar Wali Khan termed the meeting of Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Asim Munir with United States President (US) Donald Trump as a positive development for Pakistan and the broader region.
In a statement posted on his official X account on Wednesday, he noted, “Field Marshal General Asim Munir’s meeting with the US President today will be a good omen for Pakistan and the region.”
He also highlighted the warm reception given by overseas Pakistanis to the army chief, saying it contributed to a favorable atmosphere for the high-profile meeting which he described as encouraging.
