ISLAMABAD, Jun 17 (APP): Pakistan made a significant leap in the promotion of padel sport with the successful hosting of the PADEL IN OPEN 2025, the biggest tournament till date, held from June 12 to 15 at Padel-In, Lahore.
The high-profile event attracted 108 teams competing across five categories: Men A, Men B, Men C, Women A and Women B.
Among the standout performers were Huzaima Abdul Rehman and Rafay Aimal, the dynamic duo from Islamabad, who just a couple of weeks ago clinched the title in professional category at Paddle Pit in Islamabad.
In Lahore, they once again displayed outstanding performance, reaching the final of the Men A category. They produced stunning display but just couldn’t get over the line.
Huzaima was declared player of the tournament for showcasing extraordinary skills and potential, earning praise from organizers, spectators and fellow players alike, said a press release issued here.
The achievement not only highlighted his individual talent but also demonstrated the potential of the young athlete, emerging from the capital city.
Speaking after the final, Huzaima said the event served as a “massive boost for padel players across Pakistan. “Im looking forward to perform even at bigger stages,” he added.
