KARACHI, Jun 13 (APP):Shipping activity was report at the port where four ships, MSC Janis-III, Sea Hunter, Gas Emerald and Meltemi scheduled to load/offload Container, Cement, Chemicals and Mogas, berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal, Multi-Purpose Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and FOTCO oil Terminal respectively.
Meanwhile two more ships, SC Ocean LXI and Marangas Efessos scheduled to load/offload Furnace oil and LNG also arrived at outer anchorage on today early morning.
A total of nine ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them two ships, MSC Janis-III and Gas Emerald are expected to sail on today.
Cargo volume of 107,266 tonnes, comprising 77,271 tonnes imports cargo and 29,995 export cargo carried in 2,549 Containers (1,487 TEUs Imports & 1,062 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are ten ships at Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim, out of them two ships, Hanyu Freesia and Marangas Efessos carrying Chemicals and LNG are expected to take berths at EVTL and EETL respectively on today 13th June, while another containers ship ‘X-Press Kohima’ due to arrive at outer anchorage on Saturday.
