ABBOTTABAD, Jun 13 (APP):Additional Deputy Commissioner General, Gohar Ali on Friday chaired a meeting to prevent forest fires and promoting environmental protection.
The session focused on the underlying causes of wildfires and explored preventive strategies. ADC Gohar Ali issued clear directives to the Revenue Department, Forest Department, Police, Rescue 1122, Civil Defense and other concerned departments to implement concrete measures for forest fire prevention. He also emphasized strict legal action against individuals found responsible for negligence or violations contributing to fire outbreaks.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Relief and Human Rights Amanullah Saeed, District Health Officer Dr. Shakeel Sarwar, Assistant Commissioner Zarak Yar Khan Toru, District Emergency Officer Rescue 1122, Civil Defense Officer Abbottabad, representatives from the Forest Department, and other relevant officials.
Participants reaffirmed their commitment to safeguarding natural habitats, protecting plant life, and ensuring the safety of nearby communities through coordinated and timely interventions.
